This document provides the results of a gradation test on an aggregate sample. It shows the sieve sizes used, percentage passing each sieve, average percentages, and specification limits. The sample was separated into four bins based on particle size and the results are shown for each bin. Bin I contained the largest particles down to 1/2 inch size, Bin II was smaller down to No. 4 sieve size, Bin III was smaller still down to No. 50, and Bin IV contained the finest particles passing the No. 50 sieve. The percentages passing each sieve were calculated and compared to the specification limits to determine if the aggregate gradation met specifications.
