- Health teaching for Fluid restriction, and Sodium restricted Diet

First for fluid restriction:


 Maintain body weight.

If your weight increase in 2 or 3 days, it indicates there is accumulation of fluids.

So, you should weigh yourself every morning before eating anything and after emptying the bladder.

 Coordinate with your doctor the amount of water you can take in the various forms of
the day.
 Record your daily fluid intake.

Second for sodium restricted.

 Read food labels.

Compare the serving size suggested on the package to the amount you eat.

 Decrease your sodium intake to less than 2000 mg daily.


 Avoid using much salt in your food.
 Avoid canned food.
 Prepare your meals at home.
