EMPLOYMENT FORM
Name: Jonrheym P Remegia Grade level: 12 Hawking
School: Toledo City Science High School Age: 17
Job you are applying for: Software Developer

Five things I can skillfully do for a company once I got employed:

1. I have advanced computer and technology skills to excel in the IT position I am applying for.
2. I am proficient with data software and can demonstrate how to produce actionable reports.
3. I understand the process of working with others to write code and programs, troubleshoot and
test them, and ultimately create a software program that’s usable.
4. My knowledge of mathematics and formulae will assist me in excelling in the field of computer
science.
5. As an IT professional, I can write technical documentation to give explanation and direction for
IT situations.

Four characteristics I want my employer in the future to have:

1. They're open and honest communicators.

2. An employer who cares deeply about the company and its mission can inspire employees to feel
the same way, making the workplace more pleasant for everyone.
3. I want my employer to give me feedback so I can do my job better and grow professionally.
4. They must know how to listen and welcome ideas and insights from employees about how to
make the company even better.

Three influences I would consider in choosing employment:

1. I'm interested in software development, which is one of the reasons I've chosen this career track.
2. In addition, as indicated by my parents, I wish to pursue this job because it fits into our family
budget.
3. I've also evaluated myself by checking and reviewing my academic performances. By so doing,
there is a clear assistance on my strengths and weaknesses, which I used in choosing and
developing a career I think is suited to me.

Two goals I would be wanting to achieve through employment:

1. I want to become an expert in my field. An expert who has gained enough knowledge and spent
enough time in a particular field to be the most helpful in the fact-finding, problem-solving, or
understanding of a situation.
2. I want to reach a leadership position where I can lead and motivate a team to be their most
productive and effective.

One thing I will never compromise for my career:

1. I will never compromise my standards of integrity because one who has strong and well-defined
standards of integrity behaves with wholeness, integration, honesty, and does right by himself
and by others.
What’s More
Activity 1.1 Read and React

1. As a student under the K-12 curriculum, what do you think are your strengths that can
increase your employability?
My enthusiasm and commitment to all I do, I believe, are my greatest assets. The K-12
Curriculum taught me to always give my best effort in everything I do, therefore I believe I
will be ready for whatever my future career has in store for me sooner.

2. What can you say about the perception of some employers that hiring K-12 graduates would be
a risk?
It is too early to conclude if hiring K-12 graduates is a problem, in my opinion. We'll have to
wait two or more years to see how graduates of the new curriculum perform in various
spheres of employment.

3. What is your most important take away from the article?

The most significant takeaway from the article for me is that we, the K-12 graduates, must
work hard and perform effectively to demonstrate that we deserve to be hired.

Reflection:

The first characteristic that the respondents want is self-discipline, because the ability to
resist impulses, maintain focus, and see projects through to completion is important. The second is
flexibility, or adaptability, because it enables us to adapt to unexpected demands in the workplace
—sudden surges in work, urgent problems, or unpredictable events. The third is being able to
communicate effectively with our colleagues. It will help build trust, strengthen our professional
relationships, boost teamwork, develop a sense of belongingness, and help us become more
productive. The fourth is organizing, because it helps us get our work done accurately, avoiding
costly mistakes. Organizing our work and planning ahead helps us be more efficient and
productive. The fifth is preparedness. By doing some preparation, we'll feel more in control and will
appear cool, calm, and collected.

The sixth is reliability, because it consists of the extent to which an individual may be
counted on to do what is expected of him. The seventh is teamwork, because when work is divided
up among members of a team, it gets done faster, making the overall business operate more
efficiently. The eighth is being confident, because confident employees are more positive
contributors, more productive, good motivators, and make great role models. The ninth is being
passionate. It creates a positive feedback loop that fuels productivity. Our passion for work
energizes us and vice versa, giving us more fuel to put towards success. Last but not the least,
having an innovative idea, If our organization is using innovation in its processes, it's because doing
so will save us time, money, or other resources and give us a competitive advantage over other
companies stuck in their systems.
