MAADEN ALUMINUM SMELTER PLANT

1. PURPOSE
This procedure is intended for reference during the execution of tie-in activities
related to the power supply feeder for HVAC units at the PD Office Building
Facility. This procedure shall be executed in parallel compliance to applicable EHS
and QCP requirements.

2. HOLD-POINTS
Before commencing with any of the tie-in activity, below hold-points and check-
ups must be fully satisfied to ensure that work will be carried out within the
expected period accomplishment and to avoid any inconvenience that may be
caused towards affected facilities involved.
a. Tools and Materials
Specifically for the tie-in activity, below listed materials shall be made ready
and available having satisfied the inspection verifications necessary:
- Feeder cables for each HVAC units laid to the MDP panel at PD
Workshop
- Cable lugs/connectors to respective breakers
- Multimeter tester
- Electrical Gloves

b. Department Notification
The affected facility or department with this isolation activity includes the
electrical utilities serving the PD workshop building. The time or day to
conduct the isolation shall be agreed between the owner department and
the project team.
c. Isolation Point
The isolation point shall be made at the upstream side breaker at Substation
#2112 Panel 2122-ECK1-0001 Breaker SA-Z BA01 which is supplying the MDP
panel at PD Workshop. Similarly, the main breaker of the MDP Panel shall
remain on shut-off position during the execution of tie-in activity.

1. WORK EXECUTION
1. At the time planned to conduct the tie-in, secure all permits necessary and
that all required resources are on site as necessary.
2. Apply LTV procedures and lock-out the upstream breaker at Substation-2112
as well as the main breaker of MDP Panel at the Workshop.
3. Once power supply isolation is verified using a multimeter, punch hole for
cable entries on the existing panel using an electric drill and manual punch to
the required entry diameter of the cables to be connected. Dress the
prepared hole by a suitable size of connector appropriate for the cables to be
brought inside the panel.
4. Pull the cables into the designated breaker termination point and cut the
excess length as required and dress for termination with appropriate cable
lug/connector. Ensure cable continuity and resistance test performed before
termination.
5. Terminate the cables to the designated breakers and close front cover after
removing all tools and excess materials out of the panel.
6. Reinstate power supply to the MDP panel and remove locks installed.
