These children can be grouped into 3 separate groups and taught accordingly. With these children we need to start from where they are. Use appropriate methods and materials to help them progress to the next stage and then to the next one. Trying to teach them grade level content or from the textbook of their class is not useful because they can not read as yet. Until children do not have basic skills of reading and arithmetic, they cannot progress. One way to teach these children is to group them by levels instead of by grades.Identify @ group of children in a school or in the community. (They can be children from Std3,4and5.)
