Event Name /Title: Online Webinar Series

Description: EIE department arranged a live interactive session from industry expert & Student counselor for UG & PG
students. The interactive sessions help the students to acquire appropriate attitude and values & understand their strength
and weakness. Mr. Dhairya Desai, Senior Manager at Schneider Electric, Mumbai, India, interacts on 3 rd July 2021 with
UG & PG students on the subject “Scope of an Instrumentation Engineer” in industry.
The 2nd interactive session arranged on 22nd July 2021 for 2nd & 3rd year students. The guest speaker for the webinar Ms
Sushma Lingraj, a student counselor of CIL department, DSI, interact with students on the subject “ Importance of
Goal in life”.

Event Name /Title: PROJECT OPENDAY

Description: The department of EIE organized ‘Project Open Day-2021’ on 16 th July 2021in virtual mode. Total
sixteen batches of 4th year B.E.-EIE students taken part in the event. The student group demonstrated the working model
of the project along with poster presentation. All the projects were evaluated by the internal guides & Industry expert Mr.
Ramaswamy Ramakrishna, Project Lead - Manufacturing & Operations Management, L&T Technology Services,
Chennai. Three best prize winning projects were short listed based on following parameters: presentation, technique
used, working & group work. The participation certificate issued all the participated students.

Best Innovative Project: Face recognition based attendance system (Students SHRESHTA SHEKAR, VARSHINI
PRABAKAR, SANJANA K S, SHEERIN MUKHERJEE) guided by Mr.V S S Krishna mohan

Best Project: Wi-Fi controlled real time monitoring robot using Raspberry pi (Students M SUJITH, ANAGHA J,
MAKWANA HARSH, PANDRE SHRAVAN) guided by Mrs. Dr S  P Meharunnisa

Best Social  Relevance Project: Hybrid Power Generation Using Vertical Wind Mill and Solar Systems in
Highways( Students PURUSHOTHAM R, JNANESH S, AKASH N, AKASH M) guided by Dr J S Rajashekar

Event Description: Department arranged online webinars for 12+ students on 12 th and 23rd July 2021. The
agenda of the meeting is to discuss the “Scope and Prospects of Electronics & Instrumentation Engineering”in
industry. . Mr. Sudhindra, Senior Technical Lead, Parallel Wireless, Bengaluru, alumni of the EIE department
brief about the current trend & manpower requirements in industry, role & scope of instrumentation engineers in
manufacturing industries.
Mr. Sourabh Shetty Product Engineer, R&D, Bempu health Pvt Ltd, Bengaluru, alumni of the department talk
about Trends & Future scope of electronics & instrumentation engineering. Dr C.P.S Prakash brief about DSCE,
accreditation status, facilities, infrastructure, placement etc. Department HOD & other faculty members discuss
about establishment of department, program curriculum, laboratory, student centric activities etc..
