Shelda Perry
Lionville Elementary School
526 West Uwchlan Avenue,
Downingtown, PA 19335

Dear Mrs. Shelda Perry,

I am writing to you about the job opening posted on Indeed. As a graduating senior studying
Elementary Education PreK-4 I was thrilled to find your job listing. I am looking to be
considered for the third-grade elementary school teacher position. I trust that I’m suitable for this
position because I have the tools to create flexible, effective and inclusive lesson plans that will
engage every student. Each lesson plan is designed with proper individualized accommodations
to meet the needs of my students. Within my lesson plans, I have developed appropriate
formative and summative assessments.

You will note in my enclosed resume, I have experience in various grade levels. I experienced
developing lesson plans, creating rapport with families, staff and students. Some of my lessons I
have created can be shared during an interview if there is interest. My work is inclusive,
interactive, individualized with a touch of social emotional development. My lessons are created
around the objectives and presented in ways that will excite students to continuously come to
school. My communication skills go beyond the classroom when working with my professional
learning communities and families.

I am qualified to be an elementary school teacher due to my understanding of a positive

classroom environment and effective lessons with appropriate assessments. I trust that I would be
an excellent addition to your school. If you would, take a look at my resume to learn some more
about my achievements, skills and websites. I want to thank you for your time and would be
pleased to come in and speak more about why I would be the best candidate for this position.
Thank you and I look forward to hearing back from you.

Sincerely,
Laura Gahagan
