Based on your observations of this teacher candidate, please use the space below to elaborate on the strengths and areas needing
improvement that s/he will take into student teaching.

Laura has done a nice job. From the first day she was comfortable working with the students and
developing a repore with the students. She also has a good understanding of the needs of the
students.

During student teaching, Laura will develop her classroom management. This is hard to truly develop
until you are in your own classroom, but hopefully she can feel like she is taking owner ship of the
management of our classroom. The other area that Laura can work on in student teaching is to have an
understanding of what the students need to know or understand before giving them an assignment. I
feel this also comes along as you teach more lessons in a row.
