I would like to dedicate this book to my family
members for everything they did to help me. I would
also like to thank them for helping write and
supporting me through my life.
 Going to California
Once upon a time there were two girls named
Skyler and Olivia. Their mom was an actress,
their dad was an athlete, and they had a dog
named Bella. One day their mom got the act for
“The Nutcracker”. She had to go to California.
She took the girls, but their dad could not come.
He gave her a necklace, it meant a lot to the
mom.
When they reached, Olivia said “This trip is so fun!”
When her mom reached for her necklace, it was
gone! They went to the hotel to check for the
necklace, but it wasn’t there. They went to the
restaurant next door. At the restaurant they met this
guy named Moreno and he said they could ride on
his sailboat. They said yes and rode on his sailboat.
“I am so happy”, said Skyler. The next day they
headed to see if Moreno was outside yet and he
Moreno was outside and was in his sailboat. “Ring…
what is it mom” questioned Skyler. “Nutcracker
directors,have to go to practice early, but you can still
go with Moreno” said mom. They ran off to Moreno
“Hi girls where’s mom?” asked Moreno. “She had to
practice for the nutcracker, but we can come”. “Well
where do you want to go first?” said Moreno Skyler
and Olivia whispered to each other about where they
wanted to go. They decided they wanted to find the

Skyler. “Yeah”, said Moreno.
 Searching for the Necklace
Skyler and Olivia first went to check the airport. They
went to check the place where you put the luggage on
the scale, though it was not there. Next, they went to
check the airport scanner, but it wasn’t there either.
Then, they checked the waiting area, they checked
under the seats but it was nowhere to be found. After,
they left the airport, they went to check the Chipotle
where Moreno works. When they reached Moreno sat
down and took a break.
First, they checked the table they sat on, but it was
not there. Then, they checked near the cash register,
but it was not there either. Next, they checked the
pick up station and the near the door, but it was not
there either. “We checked everywhere it could be
anywhere except the plane” said Skyler. “So it’s not
like we can hop on the plane and check it” said
Olivia. “Wait that gives me an idea, the plane does
not leave until 3:00 tomorrow, so we can check the
“Back to the airport” said Olivia. They were so tired
from looking, but they kept going. They went to the
airport and were waiting for people to go in the
plane. They were just playing some games and
resting until the policemen came.
 Getting a Ticket
“Hey you, can I have your tickets?” asked the police.
“Um, well we don’t have one” responded Skyler. We
only came because we are finding a necklace” said
Skyler. “Well you still need an ticket” said the police.
So they got a ticket.“Come on guys we have to go
home” said Moreno. They went home and Moreno
stayed with them and made sure they didn’t go out.
“So what do you want to do about this whole
Eventually, their mom came home “Hi girls how was
your day” said mom. “Great” said both of them. After
that they were speechless. They couldn’t believe
their eyes it was the most beautiful thing they ever
saw “Mom what are you holding” said Olivia. “I’m just
going to wear this for the movie”.
Skyler and Olivia went to sleep extremely late
because they really wanted to help their mom. So
the next morning they decided to go shopping and
then meet Moreno again. If they were meeting
Moreno they wouldn’t be able to talk about the
missing necklace because it was a surprise for their
mom. They were also super excited because their
favorite band is going to sing at the hotel their
staying in.
When they went home it was already 11:00 in the
night. The next morning Moreno was outside and
their mom had to go for practice again. Skyler, Olivia,
and Moreno went back to the plane to make sure the
necklace was not there. “What should we do about
the cops” said Skyler. “Wait Olivia remember Becky
she works at the California Airport, we can ask her if
we can take a quick ride” said Skyler. “You mean a
quick check right” said Olivia. “Whatever” said
 Asking For Help
They reached the airport and they started finding
Becky. Finally they found Becky right where you
show your passports. “Hi Becky” said Olivia.“Oh
what a surprise to see you girls here where’s mom”
said Becky. “Nutcracker practice” said Skyler. “Who
is he” said Becky. “Our friend, anyway dad gave
mom a necklace and she lost it and we need a
passport to get in so can you help us”.
“Girl’s I’d love to help but I can not it’s a part of
airport rules” said Becky. “Well that option is out” said
Sophia.
 Finding the Thief
Skyler recognized Moreno and asked if she could
speak to Olivia in private. “Olivia don’t you remember
this guy he’s from the airport” said Skyler. “Oh yeah”
said Olivia. They went to back to Becky and asked if
she has seen him. “Yes I have seen him” said Becky.
“Well he was standing right behind us in line” said
Olivia. “He must have stole it when we were not
looking” said Skyler.
“Exactly” said Olivia. “Can you help us Becky” said
Skyler. “Yes my shift is over anyway” said Becky.
 Thinking of a Plan
They had to think of a plan and Olivia thought of the
perfect plan. So she started whispering it to Skyler
and Becky.
 Catching the Thief
They went over to Moreno to ask if they could check
if anything useful was in his bag. “Yes you can check
in my bag.” He was confused. Then the two girls
looked through the bag and found the necklace. “Ah
hah” they shouted. “You had the necklace the whole
time” Olivia said. “Now that we have found it we will
do this” Skyler said.”What” Moreno said. Becky
snapped.
Police came and they had handcuffs. “Your going to
jail” said Skyler. The police handcuffed him and took
him away.
 Mom’s birthday
The next day the girl’s had the most greatest
surprise. They sang happy birthday to their mom and
then gave her the presents. The first one was the
necklace and the second one was Becky. Their mom
was so surprised. “You guys are the best” said mom.
“Hi Becky” said mom. After that they lived happily
ever after.
