To optmize a vector, change the value of the hash size by selecting the optimum value from the
drop-down list in Estimated items in the vector (initial size).
Multilevel vectors can be optimized. For example:
If in a multilevel CCMA vector (as the one shown in the figure above), in which RNC can have
200-250 BTSs and if the same values are present by default, i.e. hash size=5 (50-250 items),
then you do not have to change them.
If there is a Cell Vector which needs to be optimized under the BTS Vector that can have up to
12 Cells, then change the value of the hashsize by selecting the optimum value from the drop-
down list in Estimated items in the vector (initial size) to hash size 2 (1-12 items) fromhash size 5
(50-250 items) as shown below so that CCMA reserves less memory compared to the
default hash size.
Click OK.
To optimize a vector under different time classes you need to choose the optimum value
depending on the time interval in each time class. For example, a failure reason vector having
approximately 600 values as per its CCD definition can have fewer failure reason values for
minutely time class than an hourly time class. Hence, it would be optimal to use
smaller hash size values from the drop-down list inEstimated items in the vector (initial size) for
the minutely time class and bigger hash size values in the hourly and daily time classes.
