established, reflecting the richness of its history. Strengthened by time, Banay banay 2.0
has surpassed incredulous disasters that proved its resilience to the public Just recently,
we faced the threat of Taal eruption and is acting up at present times. With this looming
distress along with the frequent occurrence of typhoons, it’s a wonder how the local
government unit of the area prepares, responds, recovers and rehabilitates in such
situations.

Yielded from the research conducted within the barangay, they found the leading
risks to be typhoon and particularly in Tramo, where 150 families were affected. Based
on the previous actions, activities, and pieces of training, adjustments were made to
improve its response to the identified danger. Its strength also revolves around the
availability of skilled personnel to assent in times of peril, adequate funds from the
national government to sustain barangay needs, and its relation to cooperating agencies
(e.g., DSWD, NGO, Emergency Engineering Committee, civilian volunteers, etc.) In the
implementation of Bayanihan on its political, economic, social and technological sectors.
On the other hand, the weaknesses involve the lack of fund-raising activities within
vicinities, also the Barangay Disaster Risk Reduction Management Council lacks
proficiency on Incident Command System (ICS).

Consequently, Banay banay 2.0 also has a moderate capacity for handling plausible
disasters. Thus, broadly posting its contingency plans, capable of coming up with
resolute preparations for impending risks through early warning systems which are
reported on the higher local government. The barangay also continuously executes its
announcement, implementations of programs and meeting with each district.
