SCHOOL POLICY ON HANDWASHING

SY 2021-2022

 The school promotes hand hygiene through handwashing and hand sanitation to
reduce the spread of germs and other infectious disease.
 The school should place visual cues such as handwashing posters and other materials
in highly visible areas throughout the school.
 The school build time into daily routines to wash hands with soap and water for at
least 20 seconds or use a hand sanitizer with at least 60% alcohol to clean hands that
are visibly dirty.
 The WASH in Schools Program Coordinator should instill the handwashing behavior
among learners.
 The students should familiarize the proper steps of handwashing and know when to
sanitize.
