WEB GATE. GIZAR

1. INTRODUCTION
The WebGate permits the remote visualisation of pages similar to those shown on the GIZAR display using
Internet Explorer with any PC running Windows 2000, Windows XP or Windows Vista.

Up to 8 connections can be made at any one time.

The WEB Gate high-security mode eliminates any risk of application lock-up as a result of modifying variables
using the terminal and the WEB Gate at the same time.

2. MINIMUM PC REQUIREMENTS

CPU: Pentium III 1 GHz or faster recommended.


Memory: 512 MB or more recommended
Disc space: 400 MB or more on hard drive
Browser: Microsoft Internet Explorer 6.0 or later
Operating system: Microsoft Windows 2000 Professional and Server (Service Pack 4 or later) or
Microsoft XP Professional (Service Pack 2 or later) or Microsoft Windows Vista
Business

Programmes installed: Web_Gate_Client_Files_V5.1_SP2.exe (Ref. 99.62.578)

NOTE
If a previous version of WEB_GATE_CLIENT is already installed, uninstall said
version before installing Web_Gate_Client_Files_V5.1_SP2.exe (Ref. 99.62.578)

3. CONNECTION
Open Microsoft Internet Explorer on the computer.

Insert the IP of the Display we want to connect to on the browser address bar (e.g. 192.168.6.XXX). See Fig. 1.

When we have connected to the display, the browser will display the following webpage, housed in the display we
have connected to. We can choose the language we prefer for browsing in the left-hand column. See Fig. 2.

NOTE
If the webpage cannot be displayed then there is a connection problem. Confirm that the
correct IP has been entered and the PC network connection is operative.

Click on “Visualisation” and the Web Gate item in the left-hand menu allows us to view the Web Gate application
“within the current frame” or open “another window”. Either option is valid.

After clicking on one of the two above options, the following screen is displayed for us to enter the User Name
and password. See Fig. 4.

The access levels and the possible actions associated with each level are defined in IO-G-M-50-001.

Click on OK and if the correct user name and password have been entered, connection will be made the
application to be visualised will be downloaded. See Fig. 5

The Web Gate homepage will appear once connected. See Fig 6.

NOTE
If we do not reach this screen, check that the following programme has been installed correctly -
Web_Gate_Client_Files_V5.1_SP2.exe (Ref. 99.62.578).

Click on the “Enter” arrow to access the GIZAR Display menu screen. See Fig 7.
