-More men putting towards housework
-Portable radios
-Unusual mixing food due to power cuts and uncertainty towards frozen foods
-Pyrex dishes
-Increase in frozen and canned foods
-Push along grass mower
-Making own bread due to strikes from bakers as well
-Dehydrated food
-only 25% of women had a driver’s license
-More families had the money for leisure activities and cars
