Compared to the past, more people are now trying to learn a foreign language to increase their
chances of landing a better job in their native country or to have better opportunities to work
abroad. To what extent do you agree with this point of view?
As the result of globalization, the ability of using a foreign language  is growing to
become a matter of public concern since it helps people stand a good chance of having a
lucrative job in their country or overseas. Therefore, I definitely agree with the statement that
learning a new language can greatly enhance the capacity of having a good job at home and
working abroad.
To begin with, in many country, more and more jobs require a knowledge in particular
languages apart from the mother tongue. Thus, it can help people land a better job in their home
countries. It can be seen that many good jobs with fascinating salary like headhunters or tour
guide have employees with a good knowledge of a popular foreign language. Moreover, an
official research has shown that a person who is able to communicate fluently in a foreign
language like English, German or Japanese is more likely to increase the wage by 3.8%
compared to the one who can only use his indigenous language.
Secondly, good knowledge of a foreign language plays a vital role in give people chance
to work in other developed countries. Assuming that a person does not know any popular
language when he or she goes overseas, he or she of course will get stuck and miss the
opportunity to get familiar with the new living since there is no way to communicate with
indigenous people in that country and the colleagues in the company he or she work for.
Therefore, the first thing people should do before having a plan to work abroad is to learn the
required foreign language.
In conclusion, studying a new language play a key role in our today world as it give people
chance to have a well-paid in their native country or even start working in another country.

lobalization has significantly led people to have a correlation with language in order to
communicate with each other from the other corners of the world. Many learn it with a view to
getting good jobs or working overseas. From my perspective, I hold a firm believe that the
purpose of having better occupation or working overseas accounts for the vast majority of
people.

To begin with, speaking at least two languages can offer a wide range of well-paid jobs because
any business hopes to globally expand. Therefore, those businesses need their employees to be
able to speak other languages in order to negotiate with others instead of hiring a translator. For
example, when your company want to release new products into market of Japan, it is crucial
that employees speak Japanese to introduce them. And the one taking charge of that work will
receive bonus for their work and may be offered higher positions in their career.

More importantly, they also can receive better chances of working abroad because working
abroad can help them to enhance their knowledge and have higher wage. The primitive step is
that you are capable of speaking that language. To be clear, working in the USA can offer them
higher chances of better-paid jobs and great experience in their CV, therefore, they learn
English to fulfil their hopes.

To summarise, even there are some learning foreign languages just to enhance their knowledge,
the majority of people learn them so as to have a better position in their career and working
abroad. The reason for this trend is that people can earn more and receive better opportunities to
complete themselves by exposing to different culture.

With the advent of globalization, the world has become a huge global village with no boundary.
This globalization has triggered the need for learning foreign languages to communicate with
people from other countries, since it helps people to have a good chance of having a well-paid
job in their country or overseas. Therefore, I definitely agree with the idea that learning a new
language can greatly improve the capability of having a good job at home country or working
abroad.

Firstly, more and more jobs are demanding knowledge in particular languages apart from
mother tongue. As a consequence, acquiring a second language can provide people with a better
job in their home countries. It can be easily seen that many good jobs with high income have
employees with a good knowledge of a popular foreign language, as they can attract more
potential customers and partners from other nations. Therefore, learning a foreign language
boosts your chances of landing jobs amongst a group of other candidates with similar abilities.

Secondly, getting hold of an other language allows people to work in other developed countries.
Companies nowadays prefer candidates with suitable skills and characteristics, rather than
available employees in their country. Moreover, they tend to employ workers who can diversify
workplace, as well as being able to work and communicate with native workers. Therefore,
every person with a plan to work abroad should learn the required foreign language.

In conclusion, picking up a new language plays an important role in our today world as it give
people access to lucrative job opportunities at home as well as abroad.

In the past few years, there has been a growing trend towards bilingualism in order to improve
the chances of being employed in people’s mother country or to be offered more possibilities of
overseas jobs. Although whether mastering a second language providing opportunities of
employment both in home or  foreign countries still remains a controversial question, I
personally believe that it may prove to be helpful.

To begin with, being bilingual obviously opens up the door to a variety of job opportunities that
are not available to monolingual job candidates in people’s own country. This is mainly
attributed to the global integration, which demands that companies having a bilingual or even
multilingual workforce to attract more potential customers and partners from other nations.
According to a British Chambers of Commerce study, more than 60% of corporations who want
to do business in a foreign country cannot do so because they do not have enough bilingual or
multilingual employees. Therefore, it goes without saying that learning a foreign language gives
job applicants an edge over those can only speak one tongue even if they are equally qualified
or monolingual ones are slightly better.

In addition, a job candidate using two languages is going to be more attractive than one that is
monolingual. Now that technology and transportation develop greatly, distance is no longer a
major problem but language barrier. Companies nowadays can employ people living in
different countries if they think the applicants have skills and characteristics they are looking
for. Moreover, corporations recently tend to employ foreign workers to diversify workplace, on
the condition that employees can communicate and work with native workers. For example, it is
reported that three-quarters of Silicon Valley tech workforce are made up of foreign employees.

To conclude, aforementioned statistics and the recent  tendency of recruiters clearly explain
why acquiring a second tongue may help gaining better job choices both inside or outside the
native country.
