Sir/Ma'am,

With due respect we would like to bring your attention that it is highly unlikely for
us to attend college offline for this semester due to the following reasons:

1. Parents of students residing outside of Dehradun feel unsafe in sending their

child back to campus due to the high looming threat of the surge of third wave.
Majority have had suffered/been affected by the previous two waves directly or
indirectly. Due to this they are unwilling to sign the parent's consent form. (which
says, “University shall not be responsible in any way for any COVID related
health concerns that may arise with my ward.”)
2. Due to covid a lot of financial strain has been put on our families, thus, to
arrange a safe living situation in such a short notice seems unlikely. Also, students
who have not yet visited the campus even for once require time to search an
appropriate room for themselves.
3. Not everyone has been completely vaccinated with the recommended dose of
two shots.
4. Underlying health conditions of many students put them in a high-risk situation.
Also, it is likely that India would suffer from another wave of covid as we are
currently hearing that Europe and Asia has begun to get effected yet again due to
Covid.
5. Few students have even applied for winter internship. We are in the phase to get
placed.

We hope the above points are made clear. We request you to take these concerns
very seriously because we're hopeless in this situation and we request an
alternative solution that is in our favor as well. Wherein we continue with the
hybrid mode of education for at least this semester, thereby, giving us appropriate
amount of time to prepare to come to campus from the next semester.
It is our request to you to consider this proposal of ours as most of our families do
not feel comfortable to sign such consent form.
Thanking you in anticipation.
