STATEMENT OF PURPOSE

I have done my schooling from Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), completed my high school
intermediate(12th) in 2013 and post that started pursing my dream course i.e. Bachelors of Science in
Hospitality and Hotel Administration. It was a 3 years degree course and the college was located in
Dehradun by the name of Institute of Hotel Management Dehradun. The course content like project and
facilities management, food and beverage service, specialty catering operations gave me the perfect picture
of this stream and immense learning.

While pursuing my bachelors, I was among the very few who was given an opportunity to intern with The
Radisson Blu, a world-renowned hotel chain to help me for my first steps in the market. I started my
internship in the department of Food & Beverage service where my key responsibility areas were
operations, handling of events, co-ordination of various function. My internship duration was 17 weeks & I
had completed it with excellence.

I am a travel lover and I have covered most part of India being a hotelier. A lot of time, I use to entertain
myself and others too with the standards of hospitality and tourism I have learned from my education and
internship. Therefore, later on during the last year of my college education I sat in for campus interviews and
soon was selected in a Management training program with Lemon tree hotels Private India Limited. Looking at
my enthusiasm and passion towards the area made them see something in me and I was offered a job in spite of
me being a fresher. I joined the hotel named, Lemon tree Gurugram in 2017, a beautiful property with lot of
resources in it for my start of the career. Being a fresher, I was given a post of Operations Executive and I was
very happy with it. Operations had a vast meaning behind it and that is what I realized on the second day of my
work. I had to handle events, parties, supply chain, logistics, arrangements, and everything any party organizer
looks forward to. Along this my training constitute of learning of operation of all the other departments &
coordinating with them, I have been trained in front office, sales, housekeeping & kitchen. The management
training was of 18 months which I completed successfully & was promoted as an Assistant manager in Food &
beverage service in Jan 2019.

During my training when I was learning about other department, I got a very keen interest in sales department
& therefore I decided to move in to sales so I requested the General manager of the hotel to switch my
department, according to me sales was the department which brings the revenue for the hotel and I want to be
a part of that revenue generating team so I started working in sales as an Assistant manager from April 2019.I
started my research and came across a lot Business Management course being offered, after a lot of research
and knowledge what I got from my family, friends, colleagues, I than decided to study International Business
Management program from Niagara college.

I chose Niagara college as my perfect destination. I have been hearing of this name since a long time but
never came across that this institute just delivers what the other person wants. Going through the modules
of the course, I was double sure of my decision and updating in my career. Niagara is one of the oldest
colleges in Canada, placed in Ontario and has all the accreditation of being a reputed institute. College is well
renowned, delivers perfect modules and provides a course which was only meant for me. Modules like:
Strategic Planning, Marketing, Finance, People Management etc.

These courses were something I was working with in real life but without the knowledge of proper time
management and right ways of improving them. I took no time but to finalize my plans of letting me have an
international exposure, study modules of what I want to work on and helping me know this stream better. I
thank Niagara College and all other people associated with it for running this course and letting many people
like me to join it and improve themselves. I score an overall 6.5 with no bands less than 6.
Before ending, I would like to add that I am a live roader and I want to travel. With blessings and
consistency, I have got this opportunity to study of what I will work, but this is not the end. I have to travel
the world and learn all skills of the trade before I die. Life is too short; International Business Management is
an open market and nothing can stop us till we keep trying.

My decision to study abroad and choosing this particular course is that it would help me to enhance my
knowledge in this field and making it more valuable, after that I want to pursue my dream to open my small
venture back in India & make living from it. This course will help me understand & analyse all the process
that are necessary to start my own venture in India. The knowledge will help me to secure a better life for
my selves and my family. My family motivated me to travel abroad and receive a higher quality of education
to fulfil the dreams and goals that I have set for my life.

It is yet another start of my life and I am all set for it. I have tried to summaries my past life till date and I
