GAS EQUIPMENT/PRODUCT APPROVAL APPLICATION FUNCTION DISABLED VIA

BC ONLINE AND SERVICE BC

Date of Issue: April 1, 2011

The BC Safety Authority (BCSA) advises all clients and contractors that the New Product
Approvals function under the Gas Product Approvals section of BC OnLine will NO LONGER be
available as of 4:30pm, April 21, 2011, until further notice.

In addition, Service BC locations will no longer be able to process these applications.

Effective 4:30pm, April 21, 2011, applications for gas equipment/product approvals and
certification must be completed at or forwarded to any of the BCSA offices across the province
for processing.

Gas Product Approval/Certification of Gas Product application forms are available at:
 BCSA website: http://www.safetyauthority.ca/form-500, or
 Any BCSA regional office: http://www.safetyauthority.ca/contact/regional-contacts.

Clients and contractors will still have access to gas installation and gas permit applications
through BC OnLine (https://www.bconline.gov.bc.ca/) including these gas product approval
services:
