Diagnostic Procedures

 Patient undergone Serologic test and confirmed a diagnosis of Lyme Disease.


 Also sought a dermatology consultant and the red rash were biopsied.

Medical Management

 A 10-day treatment of doxycyclic (500mg twice a day) and gabapentin (900mg daily
before bed). Since the treatment was inadequate in proportion to the symptoms and
the size of the rash, the medication was extended to 30 days by the physician.
 After the extention, physician prescribed methylphenidate (36mg daily) for fatigue.
