CASTRO, MARILYN C.

BSED MATH3A

For a number of years, that culture is given the opportunity to get us at our most uncritical,
and to show us what it's worth. As we grow older, we begin to notice fractures in our personalities.
Adults in our culture are sometimes the ones who obviously get it wrong and show it at its worst.

My family comes from a modest background, but my parents provide for my basic
requirements. Luxuries, on the other hand, are not always available when they are required. The
family is better off now than it was before, thanks to the parents' extra efforts to make ends meet.
Nonetheless, my family's initial financial difficulties shaped my personality.

Because of my cultural background, I've earned the reputation of being a low-key girl. I've
learned to save money and spend it simply on necessities. Furthermore, I've learned to share with
others rather than being self-absorbed, an image that I constantly project not only to my parents
and friends but also to the general public.
