Forget  about  the  food!  Enter  Your  Restaurant  in  a  Design  Competition!  
 
Do  you  own  a  restaurant,  bar,  nightclub  or  lounge?  Are  you  tired  of  food  critics?  Are  
you  tired  of  the  health  inspector?  Are  you  tired  of  food  competitions?  Stop  feeling  
tired  and  enter  the  American  Institute  of  Architects  Los  Angeles,  Restaurant  Design  
Awards!  The  Restaurant  Design  Awards  (RDAs)  don’t  care  about  what  is  on  your  
plate  or  in  your  drink;  we  only  care  about  the  design!  
 
The  Restaurant  Design  Awards  (RDAs)  honor  excellence  in  restaurant  design.  From  
the  quirky  bar  lounge  or  the  haute  designed  hole  in  the  wall  to  the  high-­‐end  stream  
lined  dining  experience.  We  want  to  see  you  all!    
 
The  competition  is  open  to  all  individuals  and  practices  (both  restaurant  owners  
and  architects/designers)  for  projects  located  in  the  United  States  or  projects  
outside  of  the  USA  done  by  US-­‐-­‐based  architects/designers.  Submissions  are  
accepted  in  three  main  categories:  restaurants  and  café/bar  and  lounge/nightclub.  
 
It’s  not  too  late  to  register!  Claim  a  spot  in  the  competition  by  Monday  April  4,  2011.  
Then  submit  your  materials  in  a  month!  Thursday  May  5,  2011.  For  more  detailed
