Hi, I am Aarushi Chawla & I am Head of Operations of Lucerna

I am resposnbile for the entire operations process of the company which includes
Production & inventory planning on the basis of the given sales projections & the installed
production capacity.
My key deliverables include Reducing production costs & ensuring optimum inventory
levels.

Sales projections are given by the sales team...it is a sales forecast for a period like
weekwise or monthwise....

Installed production capacity is the maximum production capacity of the Factory.....it is

generally for a day. You cant produce more than that as its your maximum capacity

Production costs are all the costs incurred during the production process, which includes
labour, Raw material & general overheads like electricity etc

Optimum inventory levels means the inventory should not be more than its required
(which results in wastage of capital & storage space) or should not be less than its
required (which results in production stoppages leading to Sales loss)
