Tom, so many words in so many directions, going through human psychology(!

) and confusing so
many glorious truths, yet you miss it still.

You seem to be yourself a “victim of cognitive dissonance”, seeing you are dull of hearing, and
denying the truth of Romans 6:6 : “Knowing this, that our old man is crucified with him”. How dull of
hearing can you be? How can you deny the Word of God to accommodate your carnal doctrine? This
shows that you do not even understand the cross of Jesus Christ and what salvation is! “KNOWING
THIS, THAT OUR OLD MAN IS CRUCIFIED WITH HIM”! Gal. 2:20 = Rom. 6:6! This is true of all born-
again believers, and what empowers them to walk in the victory is precisely “knowing this”, which is
believing it! By the way, this is the work that we do: believing! That is what the Lord Jesus taught:
“Then said they unto him, What shall we DO, that we might WORK the WORKS of God? (as you are
bent on – “DO, WORK, WORKS”). Jesus answered and said unto them, THIS IS THE WORK OF GOD:
THAT YE BELIEVE ON HIM WHOM HE HATH SENT."

Again, the basics: it is called the “work of faith” (1 Thess. 1:3)! “For WE which HAVE BELIEVED do
ENTER INTO REST” (Heb 4 :3). “For he that is entered into his rest, he also HATH CEASED FROM HIS
OWN WORKS, as God did from his.” (Heb 4:10). “Let us LABOUR therefore TO ENTER into that REST,
lest any man fall after the same example of UNBELIEF.” (Heb 4:11). That you say still “We don't win
the victory without the sanctification process outlined in Rom ch 6”, “this process detailed in Rom ch
6 is not automatic” shows that you have not yet believed and enter into rest, or that you are simply a
babe without yet spiritual understanding, still tossed to and fro, and not yet grounded and settled in
Christ.

In Romans 6, Paul is talking to babes in understanding: “I speak after the manner of men because of
the infirmity of your flesh” / “I am speaking in human terms, because of your natural limitations.”
(Romans 6:19 KJV, ESV). He explains to them what happened when they believed in Christ: “KNOW
YE NOT... that WE ARE DEAD TO SIN... that we who were baptized in Jesus Christ WERE baptized
INTO HIS DEATH... that we ARE BURIED with Him... that we HAVE BEEN PLANTED TOGETHER IN THE
LIKENESS OF HIS DEATH AND ALSO OF HIS RESURRECTION... that our old man IS CRUCIFIED with
Him... that we are DEAD and FREED from sin...?” (Rom 6:1-7). Know ye not? Therefore “LIKEWISE (as
Jesus died to sin once and now lives unto God), RECKON (CONSIDER) ye YOURSELVES TO BE DEAD
INDEED TO SIN, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Rom 6:8-11).
You miss and twist the meaning of Rom 6:17 ! -> “But God be thanked, that ye WERE (in the
past) the servants of sin, but ye HAVE OBEYED FROM THE HEART (ye have BELIEVED –
this is the OBEDIENCE OF FAITH) that form of doctrine (the GOSPEL of Jesus Christ)
which was delivered you (which was PREACHED to you). BEING THEN (result! “Then”)
MADE FREE from sin (accomplished action with enduring effect), ye BECAME
(accomplished) the servants of righteousness.”
And Paul by the Spirit says, “I speak after the manner of men because of the infirmity of your
flesh” – he uses the term “servants of/to righteousness” so that the (Roman and other) babes
would understand by comparing with when they WERE the servants of sin.
Then he concludes in Rom. 6:23 that:
- “the wages of sin is death”: you “WERE dead in your trespasses and sins, wherein IN
time PAST ye WALKED” (Eph 2:1-2) = “servants of sin unto death” (Rom. 6:16);
- “but the GIFT of God is ETERNAL LIFE through Jesus Christ our Lord”: Even when
we were dead in sins, HATH QUICKENED us together with Christ, (by grace ye are
saved;) And HATH RAISED US UP together, and made us sit together in heavenly
places in Christ Jesus” (Eph 2:5-6)
You are contradicting yourself and repeatedly doing what you accuse me of, “ creating false arguments in
order to correct something I never said”.

Your contradictions:

- We (who were baptized into Christ) are indeed "in Christ", dead to sin, alive to God, but we must "crucify the
sinful nature"
- “I never said that we crucify our flesh daily, or that it is something that we do ourselves by our own initiative.”

And I am appalled that you call yourself a teacher yet would say that “ Not all who believe on the name of
God's son Jesus Christ are automatically sons of God” and “Not everyone who believes in Christ becomes a son of God,
but we are given the power to become children of God.” This is incredibly twisted and full of confusion. This is
denying the doctrine of Christ! This shows that you do not even have the foundation :

- “Beloved, NOW ARE WE THE SONS OF GOD, and it doth not yet appear what we shall be: but we know that,
when he shall appear, we shall be like him; for we shall see him as he is.” (1 John 3:2)
- “And BECAUSE YE ARE SONS, God hath sent forth the Spirit of his Son into your hearts,
crying, Abba, Father. Wherefore thou art no more a servant, but A SON; and IF A SON, THEN
AN HEIR of God through Christ.” (Galatians 4:6-7)

To be born again as a son of God through Christ is the beginning of life in the Kingdom of God. It is
where the apostles by the Spirit began their epistles! No one has the Spirit of God if he is not a son of
God! You say ““Not everyone who believes in Christ becomes a son of God, but we are given the power to become
children of God.” That is a lie! Those who believe in Christ have received the adoption of sons by the new birth and are
sealed by the Holy Spirit! This is the beginning.

- “In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your
salvation: in whom also AFTER THAT YE BELIEVED, YE WERE SEALED WITH that
HOLY SPIRIT of promise” (Eph 1:13)
- Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, which according to his
abundant mercy HATH BEGOTTEN US AGAIN unto a lively hope BY THE
RESURRECTION of Jesus Christ from the dead (1 Peter 1:3)
- “But as many as RECEIVED him, to them gave he power to BECOME THE SONS OF
God, even to THEM THAT BELIEVE on His name: WHICH WERE BORN, not of
blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but OF GOD” (John 1:12-13).
- “Having predestinated us unto the ADOPTION OF CHILDREN BY JESUS CHRIST
TO HIMSELF, according to the good pleasure of his will... IN WHOM ALSO WE
HAVE OBTAINED AN INHERITANCE, being predestinated according to the purpose
of him who worketh all things after the counsel of his own will” (Ephesians 1:5,11)
- “To REDEEM them that were under the law, that we might RECEIVE THE
ADOPTION OF SONS. AND BECAUSE YE ARE SONS, God hath sent forth the Spirit
of his Son into your hearts, crying, ABBA, FATHER...” (Gal. 4:5-6)

Don’t build a doctrine outside by twisting the Word of God to fit your understanding! This is
what is wrong with the types of babes who are puffed up with knowledge, yet knowing nothing, who
build doctrines on some particular verses instead of the whole counsel of God, dismiss all the verses
that contradict their doctrine (such as Isaiah 9:6, Revelation 22:13), and then run around trying to
push their doctrine. And you call others very prideful, lovers of arguing, unteachable, and wrong!
“Why do you see the speck that is in your brother's eye, but do not notice the log/beam that is in
your own eye? Or how can you say to your brother, 'Let me take the speck out of your eye,' when
there is the log/beam in your own eye? You hypocrite, first take the log out of your own eye, and
then you will see clearly to take the speck out of your brother's eye.”
I do not receive those who come not with the doctrine of Christ, but with their vain jangling: “As I
urged you when I was going to Macedonia, remain at Ephesus so that you may CHARGE CERTAIN
PERSONS NOT TO TEACH ANY DIFFERENT DOCTRINE. The aim of our charge/instruction is love that
issues from a pure heart and a good conscience and a sincere faith. Certain persons, by swerving
from these, have wandered away into VAIN DISCUSSION, desiring to be teachers of the law,
WITHOUT UNDERSTANDING either what they are saying or the things about which they make
confident assertions. Desiring to be teachers of the law; understanding neither what they say, nor
whereof they affirm.” (1 Tim 1:3,5-7)
