Log In and Get Started

1. Go to https://nowlearning.service-now.com.
2. Select the profile icon and log in using your ServiceNow account username and password.

If you have never logged in to a ServiceNow site, register a new account by selecting Sign Up which will
redirect you to a series of instructions to set up an account.
If you are an employee of a ServiceNow Partner and do not have a ServiceNow account, set up your
account by following the instructions here: Create an Account in the ServiceNow Partner Portal.

Finding Learning Content or Achievement Details

Use the search bar to enter search terms to find learning content or information about achievements such
as certifications.
After entering search terms, use the Enter key to open the advanced search page to see a longer list of
results and for options to further filter search results. From search results you can open either informational
pages about specific achievements such as certifications or learning content such as instructor-led
courses, paths, or on-demand courses and individual lessons.

Your Now Learning profile includes information on your learning progress, earned achievements, available
vouchers, linked Webassessor account for exams, and other preferences.

After logging in, you can open your profile by selecting the profile icon in the top right corner and from the
drop-down menu select Profile.
In your profile, you can do the following:

View Learning Progress, Vouchers, and Invoices
On the left is a gauge of total
learning progress. Under the
My Profile menu in the My
Learning section you can
view a full list of your learning
courses and content that are
in progress, completed, or
not started.

In the My Collections section


you can view content that
you have saved and use the
card or list menu to remove
items from your collections as
desired.

In the My Vouchers section,


you can view all active,
unclaimed, or expired
vouchers for exams in
Webassessor.

In the My Interests section,
you can update your
learning interests to change
content and certifications
that are recommended to
you.

In the My Invoices section,


you can view credit card
invoices for vouchers or
learning content that you
have purchased. Use the
card or list menu to view or
download the invoice form.

If needed, use the My


Company Access link to
associate your ServiceNow
Account to your employer. Fill
out the form to generate a
request that is sent to your
company’s administrator for
approval.

View Achievements and Certification Status


In the My Achievements menu
there are sections to view your
earned certifications, badges,
accreditations (for partners), and
live course completion
certificates. For each of these
achievements, use the card or list
menu to view or download a
printable certificate.

View and Update Preferences Including Your Linked Webassessor Account
In the My Preferences menu you can update your linked Webassessor account email, certification exam
language preferences, notifications, and security preferences.
In the Webassessor Email
Address section, you can link
your Webassessor account email
so that exams and certifications
completed in Webassessor are
synced to yourNow Learning
profile. You can only have one
account synced.Select the Edit
button to enter or change the
linked Webassessor email.

In the Certification Language


Preference section, you can
change the preferred
language used on delta and
micro certification exams in
Now Learning. If you have a
linked Webassessor account,
this is also the language used
for certification exams in
Webassessor.

In the Notifications section, you


can enable or disable email
notifications that you receive
related to the following:
• Achievement At Risk:
achievements that will
expire soon
• Achievement Earned:
confirmation at the time
you are granted an
achievement
• Achievement Expired: achievements that are no longer active and will need to be re-earned
• Course Completion and Path Completion: confirmation upon completing mandatory content in a
course or path
• On-Demand Learning Credit Payment: confirmation of purchases

Select the Manage Security Preferences link to redirect to your main ServiceNow Account to make
desired changes to security preferences.

Site Navigation Menu
Using the top menu bar, you can navigate to the following areas:

Home

Loads your homepage that includes the following information:


1. Any important messages that need immediate attention.
2. Learning paths, you are enrolled in
3. Learning content that has been assigned to you
4. Learning content that you have saved to view later in a personal collection
5. All learning content you currently have in progress
6. Summary of earned certifications and badges. View your Now Learning profile for more details on your
achievements.

Certification and Get Certified

In the Certification menu you can do the following:


• Certification Verification: verify the certification status of an individual based on their email
address orname.

Here you can view the main certification options for becoming a System Administrator, Application
Developer, Application Specialist, Implementation Specialist, or Architect.
For Partners and ServiceNow employees, you will be able to see additional options on how to become
an Accredited Sales Expert or Pre-Sales Expert.
After selecting a role, you can do the following:

1. Select different product areas for certification or accreditation.
2. See various courses or learning path options required for earning the certification or accreditation.

Get Help
In the Help menu you can do the following:

• FAQ: see a list of frequently asked questions and help resources


• Create Support Case: open a support case to help resolve an issue or question
• My Cases: view support cases you have opened and check on progress.

Achievement and Notification Icons

• The trophy icon will take you straight to the My Achievements section of your profile.
• Selecting the notification bell icon will show any unread site messages or notifications such as
updatesto content you are enrolled in, assignments, learning credit allocations for you to spend,
or achievements you have earned.

My Profile
Your profile menu shows the following options:

• Profile: view your full Now Learning profile. For more information, see Managing Your Learning Profile.
• My Tasks: view any open requests you have for your company’s Learning Credit Manager or
otherlearning tasks. To find a list of support cases you have opened, see Get Help.
• Logout: log out of Now Learning.

• Manage Company Learning Credits: If you have a role as a System Administrator, Training
Administrator, or Learning Credit Manager for your company, open the Learning Credit
management application to view and manage company learning credit pools. For more
information see How to Manage Learning Credit Pools.
• My Company Dashboard: If you have a role as a System Administrator or Training Administrator for
yourcompany, you can view reports on all learners’ training statuses for your company. For more
information on this role, see Partner and Customer Training Administrators – Assigning and Bulk
Enrolling Users in Now Learning.

Save Learning Content in Personal Collections


After logging in, you can save content that you wish to look at or enroll in later in a personal collection. You
can later view your collections in the My Collections section of your profile.
You will have a default personal collection where you can save content, or you can create a new
collection at the same time that you are saving content.
To save content from a card or list view
Open the card or list menu and select Save. In the modal pop-up, choose the personal collection to save
under or create a new collection, and then select the Save button.

To save content from an overview page


Select the Save icon from the floating menu on the right. In the modal pop-up, choose the personal
collection to save under or create a new collection, and then select the Save button.

Enrolling and Navigating Learning Content
Content overview pages show details about an on-demand course, path, instructor-led course, or other
items available in Now Learning.

Paths
A learning path overview page will show the
following:
1. Title, level, and duration
2. Description
3. Content (such as courses or individual
content items like knowledge articles or
videos) that is included in the path.
4. Any achievements such as badges or
certifications that is awarded upon
completion of the path are also shown.
To enroll in the path, select the button at the
top of the path page. If the path is free, the
button will say Start, and you will
immediatelybegin the path.
If there is a cost associated, the button will
say Pay and Begin with the price shown
above. Selecting the button will open a
payment drawer to enroll using either a
creditcard or learning credits.
If prerequisites are required before enrolling,
the button will say Prerequisites Required and
will open a pop-up modal showing the
prerequisite learning content, training, or
achievement (such as a certification) that is
required before you can enroll in the path.

On-demand Courses and Simulators
A learning path overview page will show the
following:
1. Title, level, and duration
2. In the Overview tab, view course
description and objectives
3. In the Syllabus tab, view content (such
as simulator tasks or videos) that are
included in the course
4. Any achievements such as badges that
are awarded upon completion of the
course.
5. View a pop-up modal listing learning
paths that this course is part of.
To enroll in the course, select the button at
the top of the course page. If the course is
free, the button will say Start, and you will
immediately begin the course.
If there is a cost associated, the button will
say Pay and Begin with the price shown
above. Selecting the button will open a
payment drawer to enroll using either a
creditcard or learning credits.
If prerequisites are required before enrolling,
the button will say Prerequisites Required
and will open a pop-up modal showing the
prerequisite learning content, training, or
achievement (such as a certification) that is
required before you can enroll in the course.

Instructor-led Courses
A learning path overview page will show
the following:
1. Title, level, and duration
2. In the Overview tab, view course
description and objectives
3. Any achievements such as badges
that are awarded upon completion of
the course.
4. View a pop-up modal listing learning
paths that this course is part of.
To enroll in the course, select the Class
Options button at the top of the course
page. If prerequisites are required before
enrolling, the button will instead say
Prerequisites Required and will open a
pop-up modal showing the prerequisite
learning content, training, or achievement
(such as a certification) that is required
before you can enroll in the course.

Otherwise, selecting Class Options will
open a drawer with a list of class times. If
desired, use the “i” icon to see more
information about a class. Select the
specific class you wish to enroll in then
complete any required payment.

After enrollment, the course page reloads,


and you can view details about your class
in the Class Activity tab. This includes your
current enrollment or waitlist status and any
course materials that may be included
(some materials only become available
after the class starts). If allowed by terms
and conditions, you can also cancel your
enrollment from this page and receive a
refund if cancelled within the allowed
refund period.
If you are enrolled or waitlisted in more
than one class, you can view each class’s
details by selecting the class from the
drop-down.

Payment with Learning Credits


Courses or training that require payment can be paid for using company learning credits. When
attempting to enroll after selecting Pay and Begin for on-demand content or choosing a class for instructor-
led courses, you can use credits by doing the following in the payment drawer that appears:
1. Select Pay with learning credits. If you do not see this option, you may still need to link your account to
your company. For more information see How Employees Can Access Training Benefits.

2. Select an account or pool of credits to use and complete your payment.

3. If there are not enough credits, you can request more credits from your company’s learning credit
manager or open a support case.

Payment with Credit Card


Courses or training that require payment can be paid for using a credit card. The Only exception is for
joining a waitlist for a class; the option to use a credit card is not available for waitlists. When attempting to
enroll after selecting Pay and Begin for on-demand content or choosing a class for instructor-led courses,
you can usea credit card by doing the following in the payment drawer that appears:
1. Select Pay with credit card. This option is not available when joining a waitlist for an instructor-led class.

2. Enter any promo codes, billing information, and credit card information. You must read and agree to
terms and conditions before completing your purchase.
