Service Manual Organization

The Service Manual is divided into the following sections:

Machine Operation: This section explains general machine operation and machine faults.

Service Documents: This section provides detailed service information by major sub-assembly.
This includes a description of operation, spare parts, maintenance procedures, and a list of
drawings provided with the manual set. An index is provided at the end of this section which
lists the sub-assemblies alphabetically.

Spare Parts: This section is a comprehensive spare parts list for the machine arranged in
numerical order by PROGRESSIVE TECHNOLOGIES ‘ part number. This list includes a cross
reference to the particular drawings that use the part.

Maintenance Schedule: This section is a complete periodic maintenance schedule arranged by

time interval and sub-assembly. To find the related maintenance procedures, refer to the table of
contents or index in the Service Documents section.

Machine Drawings: This section contains a numerical list of all machine drawings. Refer to the
table of contents in the Service Documents section for a list of drawings by sub-assembly.

Controls Drawings: This section contains a numerical list of all controls drawings. Refer to the
table of contents in the Service Documents section for a list of drawings by sub-assembly.

Software Listings: This section contains the machine software index and listings.

Vendor Manuals: This section contains selected vendor manuals arranged alphabetically. An
index lists all of the included manuals.
