1. Who is your target market and their wants/needs?  

Canada is one of the top pharma markets in the world with federal and state governments

providing for public health. Based on Canadian government’s export-import data,

pharmaceutical and medicine import and export made in year 2016 was worth CAD

17,230 Million and CAD 11,733 Million respectively. In five years, these figures climbed

by 5% for export and 24% for import. As per Canada’s science and innovation data,

Canadian government is planning to invest CAD 1.3 Billion in total 29 projects for covid-

19 domestic biomanufacturing, vaccines and therapeutics projects. The Ontario will have

8 projects worth CAD 115 Million. Aside from that, several private businesses are

expanding and/or preparing to participate in the pharmaceutical industry. My target

market will be pharmaceutical, biomanufacturing, vaccine, therapeutics companies

located in Ontario who are planning to design and built a manufacturing or fill and finish

facility. Also, those pharmaceutical manufacturing facilities who are looking forward to

have revamping services or expansion of their existing units. Since, the pharmaceutical

sector is very crucial, it requires 4-6 months to finalize one pharmaceutical design facility

projects. On an average 3-4 projects of designing can be finalized within span of 12

months. The cost of the conceptual design can be between CAD 30,000 to CAD 200,000

which depends on the size of the facility.

2. What Products and/or services that your company may be offering your selected market
 - The offerings of the company will be Designing of cGMP Pharmaceutical manufacturing

facility which will include conceptual, basic and detailed engineering, Designing of

revamping and/or expansion of facility, Tech transfer, Feasibility studies for targeted

market and consulting services.

3. Determine the competition for each of your target markets.

- There are many companies offering design services. Laporte, PharmEng Technology,

Hite Engineering corporation, Little P. Eng. are few companies who provides similar

services. Apart from this, there are many international major players in market like NNE,

Pharmout, Pharma Access, Specturm, telstar etc.
