1. Title: Harry Potter and the Half Blood Prince.

2. Synopsis:

J. K. Rowling’s Harry Potter and the Half-Blood Prince is the sixth fantasy novel in the world
famous Harry Potter series. It begin with Severus Snape, meeting with Narcissa Malfoy, who
expresses concern that his son Draco might not survive a dangerous mission given to him by
Voldemort. He makes an Unbreakable Vow with her to protect and assist Draco in his
mission.

The students return to Hogwarts and Dumbledore informs them that Professor Snape will be
teaching Defence Against the Dark Arts and Slughorn will continue to teach Potions. With
the aid of a used textbook meticulously annotated by the mysterious "Half-Blood Prince,"
Harry becomes the top student in his Potions class.

Dumbledore believes that in order to defeat Voldemort, Harry must learn about Voldemort’s
past. Dumbledore schedules regular meetings with Harry and slowly reveals that Voldemort
has split his soul into seven parts, hiding six of them in magical containers known as
horcruxes. While a part of his soul still exists, Voldemort cannot be killed.

Harry and Dumbledore travelled to a cave in order to retrieve Slytherin’s locket, one of the
seven horcrux. After flurry of events, they return to Hogwarts with the locket just to meet
Draco and several other Death Eaters. Draco threatens to kill Dumbledore since it was his
mission from Voldemort. Draco hesitates, though, and Snape arrives, killing Dumbledore.
Harry pursues Snape where later Snape reveals himself to be the Half-Blood Prince.

After Dumbledore’s funeral, Harry tells Ron and Hermione that he is not returning to
Hogwarts next year, but instead he will be hunting the remaining horcruxes. His loyal friends
are determined to join him.
