Online Examinations
Registration fee: R 350 once off
PPL exams: R 290 per attempt
Restricted Radio License exam, Night Rating exam: R 520 per attempt

✓ Landing fees: Landing, Approach and Parking fees at Rand Airport are FREE. ATNS and other airport fees away from
base shall be charged accordingly.
✓ Checkrides: A Checkride is mandatory on all aircraft for pilots who haven’t flown within the previous 4 weeks.
✓ GPS devices: are available for FREE to any Hire & Fly or Student Pilot utilizing our aircrafts.
✓ Headsets: are available for FREE to any Hire & Fly Pilot and passengers.
✓ Passengers: 3 take-offs & landings are needed within 90 days before any Hire & Fly Pilot can carry any passengers.
Passenger fees are charged accordingly.
✓ Excess Insurance to the value of R20,000 is required for all single engine aircraft and R 40,000 for the multi engine aircraft.
✓ Special restrictions: A Safety pilot is required for Hire & Fly use of the PA28R-200 and PA34-200T
