PART C. Report Writing. Choose ONE of the following tasks and Write a short report
of 150 words.
A. The charts below show reasons for travel and the main issues for the travelling
public in the US in 2009.

The graph depicts different reasons about why people use public travelling. Nearly half of the time,
the reason to use public travel is to go to and come from work. The next most common answer is
personal reasons by 19% and it is closely followed by shopping. While visiting friends and relatives
takes the last place, the social reasons to travel are in the fifth place by 10%.

The pie chart exhibits the six main issues for public travelling. More than one third of surveyed
people see the price of tavel as the biggest problem. As opposed to safety concerns constituting
nearly one fifth of the main issues, aggressive drivers come as third by 17%. The fourth and fifth
main issues for public travel are highway congestion and difficult access to public transport,
respectively. The last reason is not having enough space for pedestrians.
