you show up, how you interact, how you groom yourself plays a very important

personality and put your best foot forward

As a stylist these skills will come handy to you. There is a difference between a
person who is stylish and a person who is a stylist and is a professional. A
stylish person might follow all the fashion trends might wear fancy clothes they
might also know how to mix and match colours, prints, accessories. They might
also have the knowledge about body shapes, face shapes, undertones. As a
stylist along with knowing about all these technical aspects of styling how you

teams you’re gonna have to listen to understand the requirements of your client
only when you listen will you be able to execute it will you be able to
comprehend and give your expert advice in that particular matter
The next one is verbal communication. The way you communicate your ideas
the way you communicate also helps them understand that you know what

Body language : Let’s move on to understanding how important body language

is for you. Body language is a very powerful tool of communication. It is how
you present yourself to clients or brands. It is how you sit, stand, present
yourself, how you make eye contact. For example if I’m standing straight you
will believe I have confidence however if I’m slouching you will not believe
that I can get the work done, or that you can have confidence in me to give me
the work. It speaks a lot about your personality.
Having a good body posture makes somebody believe that you know what
you’re doing, that you’re confident about yourself and you can carry out the
activities.

Having a body language which is open makes the client feel comfortable to
come and open up their ideas with you. Makes you look very approachable, nice
and warm as well. Have good eye contact as well. Make sure your facial
expressions are very soft, gentle and warm so that you’re approachable. Make
sure you keep these things in mind.

Let’s move on to understanding how having good etiquette will help you
become a successful fashion stylist.
Good etiquette is not just about having good manners, it’s so much more than
that. Try to always be punctual. Don’t you like it when people around you are
on time? Similarly, when you’re before time it shows that you value your
client’s time and always will be efficient in your work. Punctuality shows
efficiency
Be nice to your clients. Give them genuine complements. Build a good rapport
with them that they believe in you and comfortably open up and you work
together in a collaborative way

Make sure that you look good. Make sure that your hair is in place. You have
good oral hygiene. You smell good. Present yourself in the best way you can.
Be warm, be poised and make sure your client feels very comfortable in your
presence.

Now that you’ve learnt about these various components that are gonna help you
about communication, body language, and etiquette I hope you start applying
them in your day to day life.
When you apply these elements, when you interact with your client, it gives an
impression that you have a very good work ethic, and when they review you to
other brands or client, you might be getting more work and it will be helpful for
you.

Their feedback on your social media or word of mouth will be very beneficial
for you to gain more success as a fashion stylist.
