Article Review General Guidelines

Evaluate the articles interms of the following points

a. The article has informative and short title

b. Does the abstract is brief synthesis of the entire project, problem statement, objectives,
methodology and results? Put in short the abstract of the paper and evaluate it.
c. The article clarifies background of the title, put in short background of the paper and
evaluate it.
d. The article clarifies the problem of the study, identify gaps of the study and rationalize
the need of the study. Put in short these elements with presented in the paper and evaluate
it.
e. Summarizes previous investigation in order to inform the reader of the state of current
research. Put in short previous investigation of the paper and evaluate it.
f. Identifies relations, contradictions, gaps and inconsistencies in the literature and suggests
for further researches. Is there a significant gap in the literature? Put in short what the
paper has identified and evaluate it.
g. Evaluate methodology of the study. Put in short methodology used in the paper and
evaluate it.
h. Evaluate result of the study. Does the article meet its objectives? Does this article
contribute important new knowledge to the field? Put the major findings/results, evaluate
the results and answer these two questions.
i. Evaluate conclusion and recommendations. Does the article conclude the results of the
study? Does the article forwards applicable/feasible recommendations? Put the
conclusions and recommendations in short and evaluate.
j. Evaluate citations and list references. Does all used others ideas/results are properly
acknowledged? Does all in text citations are exhaustively included in reference list?
