Lesson Plan in Entrepreneurship

I. Objective:
Determine who the costumers are in terms of target market; customer requirements; and market size.

Sub-task:
Determine who the costumers are in terms of market size.

III. Procedure:
A. Introductory Activities
1. Review
The students will identify the pictures if it belongs to the “wants” column or the “needs”
column and paste it in the chart which is posted on the board.

2. Motivation
“Guess What?”
The students will play a charade in which the class will be divided into three groups. Each
group will act out the assigned word to them (e.g. big, small, market, people, and consumer).
The group who will answer the most items will receive an additional 2 points.

B. Development of the Lesson


1. Activity
“Understand Me”
There will be words flashed on the screen (e.g. entire community, individual units, composite,
particular goods and services, prices are relative, prices are absolute, market adjustment
changes in prices, market adjustments run via changes in quantities, aggregate economic
behavior, composite, particular goods and services) and the students will write the words they
have chosen on the chart pasted on the board. The chart is divided into two columns which
has two different pictures in it.

2. Analysis
a. How did you answer the activity?
b. What is the relationship between the picture in Column A and the picture in Column B?
c. Who do you think are the customers in picture A? picture B?

3. Abstraction
Market size is the number of individuals in a certain market who are potential buyers and/or
sellers of a product/service. Companies are interested in knowing the market size before
launching new product or service in an area.

4. Application:
The students will determine the market size of their own locality by group and they will list
down at least three potential buyers/seller of a product/service which is observed in their
locality. One representative from each group will report their output in front of the class. A
guide format will be posted on the board but it depends on the students’ creativity on how to
present their output.

IV. Evaluation:
Essay:
1. Who are your costumers if your target market is on urbanized area? Cite an example.
2. Who are your costumers if your target market is on rural area? Cite an example.
