I. OBJECTIVE
1. Describes the 4M’s (Manpower, Method, Machine, Materials) of operations in relation to
the business opportunity.

Pictures

● What did we discuss yesterday class?
● Again, what should we consider in developing a brand name or business name?
C. Motivation
Show students pictures of machine production and day to day operations as seen in
manufacturing industries.
● What have you observed about the pictures? What do these pictures tell us about?

“Emphasize the Objective for the day: Describe the 4M’s of operation in relation to
the business opportunity.
D. Lesson Proper
Activity
Students will be grouped into 4. They will be given materials (Manila paper, scotch tape
and marker) for their output. There are listed words on the board (Raw Materials,
Manufacturing, Distribution, Machineries, Labor, Personnel, Manpower, Quality Control,
Sales, Instruments, Staff, Energy) groups will classify those words if they belong among the
4M’s of operations. Output should be posted by the group after 5 minutes and group
presentation will follow.

● What made the group decide on which word belongs to a particular M?
● How did you feel after answering the activity?

Application
Students will be moving around to other group’s output and evaluate if all answers are correct.

V. ASSIGNMENT
Ask the students to write on their journal, their reflections in today’s discussion and activity.
