Mr. Crisanto A. Salazar and was followed by training orientation discussed by Ms. Jhoana Marie
R. Leal in which she tackled about the overview of the training, house rules and regulation, and the
synchronized SSG’s schedule of program and activities.

In the afternoon session of the first day of training, a message coming from an excellent
leader and the new Education Program Supervisor of Villasis, Dr. Jerome S. Paras, was delivered
in which he emphasized that it’s important for a certain leader to have the heart of leading and
serving his or her people and willing to lend a hand to help members and not dragging them
down. With his message, the Officers were all awaken of his very inspiring and a challenging
message.
After Dr. Paras’ message, the training continued as the second speaker of the day talked
about how to develop social skills which was discussed by Dr. Eugene M. Toralba, Master
Teacher 1 of Cipriano P. Primicias. He emphasized the importance of having good relationship
with other leaders and to make that happen, it is important to learn the art of socialization.
Without making relationships with other leaders, there will be no growth at all when it comes to
leadership. As what once quoted, “Two heads are better than one”,that’s why if you make
relationships, more ideas and thought might be acquired.
To equip the leaders, another topic was dicussed by Mr. Jumar Jay Q. Parras, Teacher III
of Benigno V. Aldana, in which it was entitled as Youth Leadership.
The last speaker of the first day of training was Mr. Rodrigo Domingo, TIII of San Pedro
Apartado NHS, in which he tackled about Quenching the Youth’s Thirst on Environmental
Awareness. He reminded the leaders that they have to be a nature-lover as well as the
environment is facing a tremendous number of challenges that might affect the daily living.
The first day of the training was quite fulfilling because a lot of nuggets of wisdom were
learned from the excellent leaders who are considered to be role models for these aspiring young
leaders.
As another day unfolds, another set of learning is ready to be served to the young minds
of our young leaders. Indeed, the second day of the training was a day filled with joy and
learning.
The first speaker for the second day of training was Mr. Monchito M. Grullo, TIII at
Sumabnit NHS, in which he talked about Youth Socials and Participative Skills. Some nuggets
of wisdom were also shared by Mr. Gilberto T. Biano Jr., TIII of Alejandro F. Oligan, in which
he delivered a topic about Social Media Responsibility and Proper Etiquette. He advised the
young leaders to think deeply and be responsible enough about anything that they will be posting
on social media as it’s also a big challenge now to our youth who are fond of posting anything
without even thinking if it’s proper or not.
The third topic for the second day of the training was all about Public Speaking Skills
which was delivered by a competent leader and director of Feliz Academy Inc., Mr. Valdimir M.
Meriales. He encouraged the leaders to become more equipped in speaking most especially that
it is one of the key factors to become an excellent leader.
Lastly, the fourth speaker of the day was Dr. Cecilia V. Ritumalta, TIII of Rosario NHS.
She discussed about Competent Leaders #relationshipgoals. She emphasized that having a good
working relationship with members is the key to achieve the goals that the organization is opting
to achieve.
With the loads of lessons learned for the second day of training, the leaders are now
ready to face another set of leadership goals.
Hurray for the 3rd day of training!!!

The final day of training was a blast, as the speakers, Ms. Eunice C. Segundo and Mrs.
Ma. Elena C. Villanueva, discussed about Bullying and the Qualities of a Good Leader. These
topics are relevant to the young leaders as at their ages they might be facing different kinds of
bullying or some of them might be bullies to others. The leaders were reminded about qualities
of being a good leader and a bully leader is excluded from those qualities discussed.

After the three-day training, the closing program has come to its end bywhich
impressions and reflections were given by selected leaders.

The three-day Municipal Leadership Training ended successfully where students didn’t
just attend for nothing but for something and that something is that to prepare and equip them to
be a better version of young leaders who will lead others to a transformative leadership bringing
and passing on the Core Values.
As the quotation from Benjamin Franklyn says, “Tell me and I forget, teach me and I
may remember, involve me and I learn.
