SCHOLARSHIPS AND
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE
PROGRAMS
Scholarships, academic grants, and financial aids are
available to academically deserving, creatively gifted and
financially challenged students of Mapúa Institute of
SCHOLARSHIPS AND Technology. Scholarship grants for both undergraduate
FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE and post-graduate studies are sponsored by the Mapúa
PROGRAMS administration, private companies, foundations, alumni
associations, government agencies, and other entities.
Applicants are screened by the Institute’s Center for
Scholarships and Financial Assistance.

FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE PROGRAMS


NAME OF PROGRAM QUALIFICATIONS BENEFITS
Income-Based Financial Assistance • Incoming freshmen starting Batch 2008 • 40% discount on tuition
Program (IBFAP) • Combined annual family income of not more than P500,000
Students from public schools • Must obtain a score of not lower than 60% in the Mapúa
are prioritized Scholastic Aptitude Examination (MSAE)
• Must maintain a GPA of 2.75 per term
• No shifting to another program
• No failing grade in any course

Student Assistantship • Open to currently enrolled second, third, and fourth-year students Student Assistantship
• Shall render work for a maximum of 24 hours/week at assigned
offices/departments. Combined class and duty hours should not
exceed 12 hours per day
• Must work for a maximum of eight hours a day during term
breaks and non-class days

YGC Promotional Discount • Incoming freshmen starting Batch 2008 40% discount on tuition
• Must pass the MSAE
• At least one parent is a regular employee
of any YGC company/subsidiary

Sibling Discount • Open to students belonging to Batch 2011 onwards • 2nd child – 15% discount
• Applicants can avail of the discount provided that their • 3rd child – 25% discount
siblings are enrolled with them • 4th and succeeding children – 50% discount
• Applicants availing of the discount must not be under any
other Mapúa-sponsored scholarship/financial assistance/ *Discount is applicable to
discount (FAMIT/MITLU/NFMS/YGC Promo) program tuition fees only

MAPÚA-SPONSORED SCHOLARSHIP PROGRAMS
