• Giant Pandas have a distinctive

black and white coat, with black fur, around theircare
eyes and on their ears,
muzzle, legs, and shoulders.
• They also have a thick, wooly coat which helps them to keep warm in their
cool mountain homes.
• An adult panda is usually 1.2m-1.9m with a height of 60-90 cm.
• Female pandas weigh 70-100 kg, while male pandas are larger and weigh
up to 113 kilograms in the wild.
• Giant Pandas usually give birth to a single cub. Even if a female has two
cubs, she will normally choose to take care of one and abandon the other.
• Cubs do not open their eyes until they are 6-8 weeks old and are not mobile
until they are 3 months old.
• Cubs may stay with their mother for up to three years before striking out
on their own.
• The cubs easily die in the wild because they are very small and defenseless.
