mammal of the Ailuridae family, although it had been
classified within the families of the procyonids and the
ursids.

kilograms, females from 3 to 4.5 kg. They have long, soft, reddish-
brown fur on top that turns darker on the underside. On the face it
has white spots similar to those of a raccoon, but each individual
has different facial markings. Red pandas are native to Southeast
Asia; Himalayas, southern Tibet, Bhutan, northeast India, Yunnan
province, and the Hengduan mountains of Sichuan province in
China.
WHY IS IN DANGER OF
EXTINTION?
Unfortunately, red pandas are classified as Endangered because
there are fewer than ten thousand individuals of reproductive age
in the wild. And their population continues to decline due to
habitat loss and fragmentation, illegal hunt, and inbreeding
depression.
SUB-ESPECIES
The red panda is divided into two subspecies: the western red
panda, which lives in the western part, and the greater styan red
pandas, which live in the eastern part. The western red panda has
light fur on its face, while the styan red pandas have some more
pronounced faction markings.

These beautiful animals are in danger of extinction and this is
mainly due to humans who kill them even knowing that they are in
danger of extinction, they harm living beings that have nothing to
do with them, destroy their habitat and hunt them, They are in
danger of extinction and for this reason we have to stop hunting
these beautiful animals and start taking care of them so that they
