Edward Jenner and the Smallpox vaccine

The Website or tab is about vaccination or how it works, and its importance. Diseases were
spread, deadly and infectious and no one knew how to cure it. Edward Jenner then appeared, he
invented the first vaccine to cure Cowpox and Smallpox in 1796. Vaccines started to spread and
people invented even more vaccines for several diseases roaming around. Vaccines were
common between young children in the UK. Smallpox was caused by infection with the variola
virus, and was spread by coughing, sneezing, or direct contact with any bodily fluids could
spread the smallpox virus. The consequences that people faced for smallpox survived the
sickness frequently suffered long-term consequences such as blindness and severe scarring. The
vaccine cured all that, thanks to Edward Jenner.
