I. LEARNING SKILLS
A. MELC: Infer the speaker’s tone and mood.
B. Objectives:
Identify the tone and mood of a selection or utterance.
Pick-out clue words that convey the tone and mood of a
selection or utterance.
Relate oneself with the characters in a selection or utterance.
Tone - is about what the writer or speaker feels about the character.
Readers can only infer the speaker’s tone based on the chosen
words used by the writer or speaker.
