Arrowhead:
1. Arrowheads are used to indicate the dimension line.
2. Usually, the arrowhead must include angles of a minimum of 15°.
3. The Arrowhead may be open or close or closed and filled.

Leader or Pointer Lines: These are thin continuous lines drawn from a dimension figure to the feature to
which it refers. Leader line is drawn may be 30° or 60° to the bottom of dimensions.

Dimension Figure: These are drawn may be vertical or inclined to indicate the height of the dimension figure.
Dimensions must be drawn like this:
1. Use only one placing of
dimension system in one
entire drawing.
2. The aligned and
unidirectional system
should not be mixed
together in one drawing.
Length and Height Proportion:
For arrowhead, Length and Height proportion is 3:1

Arrowhead ratio 1:3 is maintained. i.e., if AC is 2, BD should be 6.
