S.I. 6 of 2022 [CAP. 13:16
Civil Aviation (Safety Surcharge) Notice, 2022
IT is hereby notified that the Minister of Transport and
Infrastructural Development has, in terms of section 59A of the Civil
Aviation Act [Chapter 13:16], and after consultation with the Board,
made the following notice:—
1. The notice may be cited as the Civil Aviation (Safety Surcharge)
Notice, 2022.
2. An Aviation safety surcharge shall be levied at the rate of zero
comma five per centum (rounded upwards to the nearest units of a
dollar) upon every fee, levy and charge payable to the Authority for
registrations effected, licences, permits or certificates issued, services
rendered or anything else done by the Authority.
3. The safety surcharge levied in terms of section 2 shall not be
levied on any fee prescribed in the Airport Departure Fee Regulations,
2003, published in Statutory Instrument 165 of 2003.
