MATH TRICKS-TOK CHALLENGE

Mechanics
1. The contest is open to all students of Luis Palad Integrated High School SY. 2021-2022.
2. Each entry must only have 1 participant only.
3. The video must start with title. Make sure that the title is short and simple.
4. Each entry must not exceed to 1 minute.
5. Participants can choose any topic in Mathematics which could be tricks in solving
problems, shortcuts in solving equation or discussions of concepts (definition, theorems,
postulate, etc). You may consult your Mathematics teacher when choosing the topic for
your entry.
6. Entries must be in English.
7. Make sure that the concepts and examples discussed are accurate (use of symbols,
signs, steps, etc.)
8. The content of your video must appropriate for all ages and types of audience. Entries
containing foul and offensive language will be automatically disqualified.
9. Make sure that the content is original. Avoid using videos, images, and music with
copyright restrictions. Entries must be uploaded to the Tiktok App.
10. The video shall be submitted to Mathematics teacher via messenger on or before March
11, 2022. File name shall be in the following format: (Last Name, First Name, Middle
Initial- MTC)
11. Take note of the following dates:
a. March 11, 2022 - Deadline of entries
b. March 15, 2022 - Posting of qualified entries.
1. Top 5 best videos will be selected for final judging.
2. The decision of the panel of judges based on the following criteria is final and
irrevocable.

Criteria Percentage
Content (includes accuracy of 40%
solutions/discussion, proper use of symbols and
terms, error-free visuals)

Delivery of content (clarity of voice, appropriate 20%


use of visuals, correct pronunciation of terms
and/or translation of mathematical equations to
words)

Creativity and Presentation (includes visual 20%


appeal of the video to the audience, relatability to
the audience)

Originality (the entry is originally made together 20%


with the materials/visuals used during the
presentation like slides etc.)

Relevance of the material (relevance of the 10%


material to the target audience)
