SAP Cloud Platform Data Analytics on Mobile Usage

Introduction
Data analysis is the use of procedures and techniques (typically a type of analysis software) to extract
valuable information from a dataset. This understanding applies in different ways, depending on the
industry, occupation, and other specific needs. This is important because it can help a company become a
data-driven company. That is, use data to make decisions. Data analysis can help companies anticipate
problems and plan potential solutions (Kaisler et al., 2016). More and more companies are studying data
analysis to identify blank marks, but there are still many companies that can benefit from some
clarification.
Data mining processes and techniques can be used in applications such as machine learning algorithms,
modeling, and automation systems. Systems and algorithms process non-structured data used by humans.
This can help organizations better understand their customers, analyze advertising campaigns, optimize
content, create content strategies, and design products (Ajah & Nweke, 2019). Data analysis can help
organizations maximize market performance and increase profits. Companies can use data from data
analysis to make decisions that lead to better results. Data analysis eliminates many hypotheses, such as
marketing plans, determining the material produced and developing the product. With advanced data
analysis techniques, companies can permanently collect and analyze new data to understand the ever-
changing situation.
Data Analytics Life Cycle
The data analysis lifecycle describes the process of implementing a data analysis project, which
consists of six major steps based on the CRISP-DM methodology. These steps include understanding
the business problem, understanding the dataset, preparing the data, analyzing, validating, and
visualizing the research (Rahul & Banyal, 2020). Determines a set of predictive modeling
techniques, determines the most appropriate model, defines the model, and finally puts the model
into production during the deployment phase of a data analysis project involving all stakeholders.
With the increasing complexity of big data and the development of the associated data platform
technology landscape, organizations face many challenges in assisting in the implementation of
decision support systems. Some consulting firms have adopted their own methods and accelerators to
use best practices to deliver data science projects throughout the life cycle of data analysis.
Project Overview
SAP Cloud Platform Mobile Services is developing new products. This product analyzes a large
amount of data from global mobile operators. The purpose of this report is to enable the company to
expand the market and provide meaning to the objective model analysis of the user. This large-scale
analysis has been expanded to many countries around the world, involving millions of people. The
plan aims to provide other powerful tools to develop the market by focusing on the development of
specific regions and populations. It will use statistics and data visualization techniques to identify
trends between age, gender, social demographics, geographic location, URL traffic categories, and
SMS / chat habits.
Operator data will be received anonymously. This is important because SAP Cloud Platform does
not want to invade users' privacy. The SAP Cloud Platform cannot detect who a person is or what
their home address is. The data provided includes daily user-generated data on the phone.
If the user has a tariff plan with the operator, users’ gender and age will be disclosed. This
information does not apply to users who transfer over the network or who have their own payment
rates and prepaid plans. Here, the SAP Cloud Platform team can use its excellent data analysis
capabilities to determine a user's gender and age based on cell phone habits.
To determine the relationship between URL range, text messaging / calling habits, and a user's
geographic location (gender/age), examine mobile user data for small carriers. SAP wants to
determine the mobile users’ age and gender based on their phone using time and habits. The project
description is based on data relating to small carriers. This document describes technical methods,
requirements, and project management plans. The sections below describe how the data will be
collected and evaluated for benefits of SAP and obtained temporary coverage.
Proposed Methodology
Understand data
To better understand the data and implementation of big data analysis for a project, several factors
must be taken into account. The team should also examine social demographics on phone user
behavior, cultural patterns, gender usage habits and phone traffic. It needs to determine the best
software to analyze and interpret the strengths and weaknesses of the collected data. Next, to
understand how to design a model, it also needs to understand data mining, clustering and evaluation
techniques. All of these factors should be analyzed before deciding on methods or guidelines for
determining age and gender-based habits and usage characteristics of the users of the data provided.
Technique
Model requirements are divided into several categories, such as function, system, I / O, operation,
and interface. Accessing phone data can improve conditions so that SAP Cloud Platform can better
understand the factors to consider. Determining how these rules/measurement values and statistical
methods affect them can also determine the model requirements results and outcomes. The model
development phase manages requirements and are validated during the evaluation and testing phases.
Design
First step in developing a model is to select a function as the model's input. Analyze data to find the
ability to differentiate consumers based on gender. Distribution of website visits and use of digital
signage is planned, and samples are shown. Further development of the model is based on refreshed
methods, and the model is permanently improved in the short design and testing phase. It is expected
that the iterative feature of development will be based on changes, selection of algorithms and
parameters of algorithms.
Evaluation
Review to ascertain whether model data is accurate according to gender and age. Two types of
testing are accuracy testing and sensitivity analysis. Check the accuracy of the sample dataset where
gender and age are known. Regardless of age or gender, the team will use this data to create set
model calculations to ensure that the results are consistent with the model. Sensitivity analysis
changes the functions included in the model and observes how the output changes. This not only
reduces the degree of uncertainty of the model, but also improves your understanding of the
relationship between input and output variables. The testing phase will ensure about the setting of all
requirements and about data model requirements are correct.
Delivery
The results/delivery will be appeared in the report form. It will includes information on gender and
age ranges based on several factors, including geographic location, popular interests, and URL
categories. Manage results to best meet SAP requirements and expected results. Results are
presented for presentation and on paper for consumers and mobile services.
Project Management
Project Plan
The data collection and testing project will be divided into four different parts: research, model
development, project management, and results. Project management tasks include the initial
activities of a project, such as initiating and defining problems and presenting progress during the
project. The Big Data team also needs a research phase to introduce new devices and concepts;
Meanwhile, the team will investigate basic data analysis and ongoing research into cell phone use.
Most projects are focused on data analysis and model development. The team will start assessing the
final results in mid-December and spend time preparing models for the exhibition. In the last, final
presentation will take most of time because it will be final deliverable. A final presentation and
report are made at the end of the project, and the project is completed to deliver.
Project risk
Data access
Based on the amount of data, information is only available in SAP Cloud Platform offices and
websites. The team should access the size of the network and, if necessary, limit the office and
planning constraints of the project team to limit the availability of data modeling and analysis.
Big Data expertise
I have no experience in data analysis functions and I am not familiar with data analytics and data-
mining techniques. In order to reduce this risk, I will continue to research until I learn better.
Ethics
Data should be carefully collected and handle so that accurate results can be produced. Less accuracy
in results can be problem for business
Conclusion
The use of big data analysis in the process of industrialization can play an important role in the
flexibility and productivity of industrialization. The transition to big data analytics provides support
for performance predictors, allowing decision-makers to use other data to define multiple activities
that achieve these organizational goals. The organizations can use big data analytics to set previously
unexpected priorities and improve process performance. Organizations are aware of the benefits of
business processes and impact operational efficiency by reducing costs, improving operational plans,
reducing inventory levels, increasing the workforce within the organization, and eliminating wasted
resources. The organization's big data analysis functions (such as resource allocation, access,
integration, and distribution) and organizational factors (such as big data analysis strategies) are
effective in analyzing big data can accelerate usage. This document details technical methods,
requirements, and project management plan. This paper describes how the team provides solutions to
problems and the SAP Cloud Platform achieves the goals to improve their mobile services.
