REFLECTION

First of all, what is the so called Healthy Diet? A healthy diet is a diet that maintains or improve
overall health. A healthy diet provides the body with essential nutrition: fluid, macronutrients,
micronutrients, and adequate food energy. And the importance of this is a healthy diet is
essential for good health and nutrition. It protects you against many chronic noncommunicable
diseases, such as heart disease, diabetes and cancer. Eating a variety of foods and consuming less
salt, sugars and saturated and industrially-produced trans-fats, are essential for healthy diet.
There are seven essential factors for a balanced diet: carbs, protein, fat, fibre, vitamins, minerals
and water. For me it is not easy to lose weight or eat nutritious foods because many people
including me who prefer to eat fatty foods than vegetables because I am used to it and it is
delicious, I eat vegetables but sometimes rarely, I prefer to eat tasty foods than fatty ones so for
me it will be difficult for me to eat healthy foods. Base on my experience I was a Plus sized man
before, I was having a hard time with the things I used to do because whenever I am doing
something It really makes me tired and sweaty. It’s also hard for me to find clothes every time I
want, because its hard to find the size that will fit me. So I thought of losing weight and eating
nutritious foods, at first I had a hard time because I was not used to eating small and non -greasy
foods because I was not used to it, but I did not give up on what I am doing, because for my own
good. So I continued this and as days pass by. I noticed myself that something had changed and
my weight had lessen a bit so since then I have been more dedicated to work harder on my
weight loss and I was very happy that I did it. I was able to lose weight and maintain a healthy
diet.
