A-Soledad: Hello, I’m Soledad.

B-Marilyn: I’m Marilyn but call me Mary.

C-Jordy: Hello, my name is Gabriel.

D-Karen: Please let me introduce myself, my name is Karen.

A: Wow, you are very polite. Where are you from?

D: I’m from Huaraz. People there are very kind and polite.

B: Interesting! I was born in Lima on December 26 th,1981. People here are very friendly. What about you Gabriel?

C: I was born in Ucayali on July 5th,1985. People are affectionate and outgoing in Ucayali.

A: So, we are all Peruvians. I’m from Lima, too. And, are you relatives or friends of the birthday girl?

B: Well, I’m her friend. We went to the same school.

A: I’m her cousin.

C: In my case, I’m married and I’m here because it’s the birthday of my wife’s friend.

D: I’m her friend, too. We are colleagues.

B: I see. What’s your job?

D: I’m a pediatrician. I work in the Hospital of Puente Piedra. Hopefully, it’s near my house.

C: I live in Puente Piedra, too. There is a big park in front of my house. Also, there are many shops. Maybe you know
that place. It’s not so far from the Hospital of Puente Piedra.

D: I think so. I think there was a gym in that place but now there is a restaurant. And, what’s your job?

C: I’m an electrician. What about you Soledad?

A: I’m a policewoman. I work in Independencia’s police station. So, I live in Independencia. I live next to the
supermarket “Metro”. And you, Mary?

B: I’m a chef. I have my own restaurant in Los Olivos.

A: Awesome. And what do you like to do when you are not working? what are your hobbies?

B: I like playing volleyball with my neighbors. I usually play with them on weekends.

A: I prefer watching movies with my family. I often watch movies with them in the evening after work.

D: I enjoy playing videogames. I always play videogames online with my friends on Saturdays.

C: I love playing soccer with my friends. We normally play soccer on Sundays.

A: Interesting. What do you feel like?

D: I feel like dancing.

C: Me too.

B: Let’s play some music then. What kind of music do you like? I like pop music.

A: I love listening to rock music.

C: I enjoy listening to salsa.

D: I like cumbia.
