2. A rally goes between the two opposite teams.Dropping of
shuttle in one’s court ends the rally and it gives one point to
opposite team.
3. The team which wins the point does the next serve.
4. Sometimes, there is tie at 20-20,the game point is given to
one who scores at least 1 more point than opponent.
WAYS TO WIN A POINT
1. If the birdie hits on opponent court, including within
the marked lines.
2. If one opponent throws the birdie out of the marked
lines, other one is handed the point.
3. Touching of net or birdie with hand during rally
gives a point to opponent team.
4. Hitting of birdie twice results in foul play.
5. Mishandling with the shuttle also results in fault.
SERVING
In singles, the server starts from the right service court,
and will serve from that side every time they have an
even amount of points. A player serves from the left every
time they have an odd amount of points.
In doubles, the server will start on the right-hand side and
keep serving, while alternating sides with their team-mate,
so long as they keep winning points. If the receiving side
takes the point, they assume serve. Going forward, the
player who did not initially serve for each team will only
assume the service once their side has won a point as the
receiving side.
