SELF ASSESSMENT QUESTIONNAIRE (Shortened version of Myers-Briggs Type Indicator) Directions : The following questionnaire does in brief, encapsulated way what a skilled facilitator or consultant might do to help people in organizations get a firmer grip on their preferences and orientations. Because the questionnaire deals with preferences and orientations as opposed to abilities and performance, note that although you may actually use both choices, one probably describes you better or more accurately that the other. (Remember there are no right or wrong answers; you're not measuring your ability or performance, only your preferences and orientations.) With that in mind, circle either the (a) or (b) answer that appeals to you most or describes you best. A word of caution before you begin. Because the following questionnaire represents a “shorthand” adaptation of sophisticated tools (ie., the Myers-Briges Type Indicator and our own applications of type theory) for orchestrating management and leadership, you should avoid relying too heavily on the initial results you obtain with it. However, it should increase your understanding of your own and other's managemenVIeadership preferences and orientations. 1.
