The Matrix Revolutions, a sci-fi action blockbuster by the Wachowskis, was released in

2003. It was released six months after the release of The Matrix Reloaded as the third

film in the series. Keanu Reeves, Jada Pinkett Smith, Carrie-Anne Moss, Hugo Weaving,

and a host of other actors and actresses appear in this film.

Warner Bros. Pictures distributed the film in 108 countries at the same time on November

5, 2003. As a result of the conclusion of the original Matrix trilogy, The Matrix Online

continues the Matrix saga. It was the first time it was released simultaneously in regular

and IMAX theaters at the same time. Even though the picture was panned by critics, it

earned $427.3 million worldwide. Production on the fourth Matrix film, The Matrix

Resurrections, began in February 2020 and was completed on December 22, 2021.
