The document provides instructions for a SolidWorks class that will teach students how to use more complex features to model a drinking cup digitally. Students will learn how to convert 2D sketches into 3D objects using revolve boss base, shelling, and constant fillet features. By the end of the class, students should understand how and when to apply these new features, add accurate dimensions, and model their own drinking beaker.

Drinking Beaker Revolve Boss Base • You must have a line that you want to revolve and an axis you wish to revolve the line around in order to make a Revolve Boss Base Shell Feature • You must have a Solid Body to Apply a shell feature. You must select the face in which you wish to apply the shell and then input a suitable size you wish to leave as the wall of the beaker. In this case we are leaving a 4mm size wall. Adding a Constant Fillet When adding a constant fillet you must select the fillet feature. Next you must select the constant fillet feature under the fillet heading. Next you must select the starting wall for the fillet, then the wall you want to add the fillet on and then finally you must select where you want the fillet to end. After this select the green tick and then it will add your constant fillet which can be seen in the image below. Now its your turn to make your beaker. Chose the feature you want to use to complete the main body of the drinking beaker. Apply your own dimensions PLEASE CLOSE DOWN ALL TAKE ANY DRAWING PAPER COMPUTERS YOU USED WITH YOU.
