How can I use this with my children?

Simply print out the colourful Easter eggs

and hide them in your garden or outdoor
Parent Guide
area. For an added twist, each egg has
an outdoor scavenger challenge to
complete.

How does this help my children’s learning?

This game encourages children to use

their observation skills to find the natural
items needed for each challenge; an ideal
way to combine a traditional Easter Egg
hunt with outdoor learning.

Ideas for further learning:

Why not add your own outdoor

challenges to the blank Easter eggs, such
as make a leaf rubbing or draw a flower
from your garden? You might like to add
some active challenges too.
Easter Egg Outdoor Scavenger Hunt

Instructions:
1 Print out the colourful Easter eggs and cut them out.

2 Stick each egg onto some card (or, better still, laminate
them so that they can be used time and time again).

Hide the eggs in your garden or outdoor area. You may

3 wish to hang some from branches or a fence using
some string.

colourful Easter eggs. Each egg has a challenge on it.

Once your child has found an egg, they need to

5 complete the challenge. This might involve looking
for or collecting natural items. Children should be
encouraged to only collect items found on the ground,
not to pick living flowers or leaves and to respect all
living things.

6 Once all of the challenges are complete a prize or the

Easter Scavenger Hunt certificate could be awarded.
